Born and raised in Vernal, Utah - a career in the oil and gas industry was almost a given.

I started my welding/oilfield journey the Monday after graduating high school by taking a welders helper job in a refinery job in Commerce City Colorado.

From there I took a more local job at a service company and worked my way up from a roustabout laborer to quickly becoming a foreman and building tank batteries for 2 years.

With my family growing, so was my financial burdens at home so I worked hard to learn how to weld by helping the welders on location, practicing during my lunch breaks and taking night classes at a local technical college. I passed my first 6G pipe test in 2006 and began welding on tank batteries. I continued that route later buying my own truck and moving with the workload to Greeley Colorado in late 2013.

2014 would bring lots of changes and opportunities for me. In June I was lucky enough to have the chance to go into business full time for myself with nineteen employees taking that leap of faith with me on day one. We would grow to over 100 employees before the pandemic and we're headed back to that number as we speak.

It has been a wild and adventurous journey that has seen many highs and a few lows along the way but I obtained a informal business degree from the school of hard knocks and BWI is thriving.

I have been lucky enough to have assembled an amazing team to help me fill the holes and areas that aren't my forte and the future's looking brighter and brighter every day for the team and BWI as a whole.
